OUR PROCESS

Visit Our Model Home

Many of our clients first experience with FCI Homes is through one of our model homes. There you will meet with our sales team, who can give you guidance on what plans we offer, options and upgrades and pricing.

Plans and Pricing

Once you decide on the type of home you are looking for, we begin drawing and pricing plans for your review and critique. This process may involve a single quick drawing or may involve several revisions and meetings with Jason and Gary, the owners of FCI who also draw your plans. We continue working on your plans until we get you just what you want.

Contract and Selections

If we are fortunate enough to earn your business, we proceed to the contract phase and you begin the selection process. Our office team guides you through the process of material and color selections. We work hard to make this a fun and easy process for you!

Plans and Permitting

While you are working on selections, we are drawing a full plan set for your review and approval. We are also working on engineering and on putting together the entire package of documents we will need for permitting. We get everything submitted to the Building Department for review and approval.

Breaking Ground!

Once we receive permits from the Building Department, we break ground and the fun really starts! Every week, we are sending updated pictures for you to review. We also schedule a handful of walkthroughs with you (if your schedule permits) to review important details during the construction process. These meeting are not required, but encouraged for everyone’s benefit. It’s not long before your Dream Home is complete!

Punch List, CO and Completion

As we near completion, we continue with our inspections. The last month of construction, we make several punch lists to ensure your home is turned over to you in the best condition possible. We’re also working on dozens of final inspections to get the many Certificates of Occupany (COs) that are required for you to move in. Upon receipt of all CO’s from the Building Department and completion of our several punch lists, we’re ready to turn your Dream Home over to you!

Closing, Final Punch List and Warranty

We work with you to come up with a closing date that works with your schedule. Our closing is very informal and involves a final walk through with you to show how everything works. We also provide you with a closing book that contains all plans, releases, manuals and warranty documents and other important information. If there are any items you see that need to be corrected, we place them on our final punch list. This list is completed as quickly as possible for your benefit. During the warranty period, please contact us or our subs directly to have any issues corrected.
